Situated on a beautiful hill between Lancaster and Lebanon, Pennsylvania, our sixth generation family farm boasts a unique micro-climate and world-class vineyard soils. This terroir is ideal for growing vinifera wine grapes.
World Class Vineyard Soils
Soil Scientists from France, South Africa, Australia, and California have visited our property and affirmed that Waltz Vineyards has been blessed with world class vineyard soils. Meticulous maintenance of our vineyards allows for premium fruit production. From the initial planting, with the knowledge that great wines are grown in the vineyard, Jan Waltz secured a reputation as top grape producer in Pennsylvania. Currently, Waltz Vineyards produces over 100 tons of wine grapes annually.
French Oak Barrel Room
Our boutique winery utilizes the most modern wine-making technology, imported from Italy. In addition, our wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in 100% French oak barrels. When you visit our facility, please take note of the unique design and construction. All of our contractors were sourced from small, local businesses like ours.
State of the Art Winemaking
In 2000, we handcrafted our first wine in our exterior garage. It was truly a "garage wine". Each year thereafter we perfected the art of fermenting, blending and creating wines that are made only from our hand-picked, carefully selected fruit. Our wines have received many accolades (see Awards Page) from international, national and state competitions. Like our fruit, our wines have earned a reputation for exceptional products in the industry.
